On a chilly bright January day, the friends and family of Richard and Aram gathered to watch their special marriage in St. Matthews church in Stretton. A beautiful ceremony was followed by confetti on the cobbles, lots of hugs and kisses and a short drive to the famous Merrydale Manor in Cheshire for a Wedding party and big celebrations.

Aram, originally from Iran, wanted to make sure that - although her family could sadly not be there in person, were able to watch everything through video call and were a huge part of the day. There were plenty of teary facetime calls and her family were present at all the major parts of the day including the ceremony. Amazing Persian traditions were incorporated into the wedding service at St. Matthews church, which were fascinating to see - including traditional honey eating after getting married!!

The bride and groom looked classic and stunning, the boys in 3 piece black suits with bow ties and the bride wearing a beautifully tailored dress sourced from The White Dress Culcheth. The bridesmaids wore golden satin dresses with see-through heels and looked every bit glamorous!

Merrydale Manor hosted a perfect wedding day for Rick and Aram, everything styled wonderfully by Floral Decor and hosted by Stefan also know as The Tall Toast Master. From the moment the couple arrived the team at Merrydale ensured all the details of the wedding day ran smoothly. The couple was greeted at a private entrance, where we had some photographs in the wedding car with some champagne. They were then brough through the dining room to see the fabulous decoration which has been put together for them, before greeting their guests as Mr. and Mrs. Working at Merrydale Manor is always a pleasure as no detail is left unplanned which helps me do my job and focus on getting those important photos for the couple.

Despite the cold January weather, we got outside and made the most of the beautiful lake and fountain at Merrydale Manor in Knutsford. Merrydale Manor has plenty of outdoor space including a long driveway, large open grounds and fields, even its own jetty for those showstopping images. The windy weather definitely helped in achieving those classic veil shots.

Following the wedding breakfast, Rick delivered an emotional and funny speech in which he spoke Persian to his new in-laws over the phone, his dedication to his new wife showed him putting practice into learning the new language which he spoke fluently, much to the surprise and admiration of his guests - lots of tears in the crowd.

After the speeches the wedding party headed back to the bar for plenty of drinks and dancing, and we planned an intimate sparkler shot between just the wedding party and the bride and groom. On those dark January nights, we didn't have to wait to long for this to happen but the results are incredible. If you're thinking of doing a sparkler photo look at these for inspiration.
